Rebuilt engine, issue with getting it to start, have P1320 code

Hello!
. I have a 2000 Maxima 3.0 V6. Vehicle was running fine while driving to work. Then it spun a rod bearing. I rebuilt the motor completely (all new timing, water pump, oil pump, bearings, rings, valves re-seated and sealed etc...). The motor is back in and topped off with fluids and all hooked up. Here's the problem... it turns over perfect. But it wont fire. It's got new spark plugs and I put new coils on the back three cylinders. It's getting fuel. The timing is spot on. Its throwing a P1320 code. I checked spark on each cylinder. 1&2 spark about 3 times and then stop. 3&4 have no spark. And 5&6 are fine. I have swapped coils and have the same results. Put the old coils in and same results. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!

P1320 tells you clearly what the probelm is. From the FSM (pg. EC-584), the possible causes are:
  • Harness or connectors (the ignition primary circuit is open or shorted.)
  • Power transistor unit built into the ignition coil
  • Condenser
  • Crankshaft position sensor (REF)
  • Crankshaft position sensor (REF) circuit
Where did you get your coils from? (only buy OEM/Hitachi, like here https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...tion+coil,7060 )

replaced the condensor

The coils are from rock auto. (Beck/Arnley)

I have checked all of my connections. I was thinking maybe the crank position sensor but there was nothing wrong with it before. So I was looking other routes

Welcome to the Org. Please note that vague thread titles are frowned upon here.

I've re-titled your thread title to something more appropriate than "Please help".

Its the coils. Buy Hitachi brand, chinese brands dont work. As the saying goes, theres nothing more expensive than cheap parts.
