5 speed altima weighs approx 60 lbs less than 6 speed maxima and has 15 less flywheel hp. also.. the compression ratio is different and so is the suspension.

But good to see you are keeping on them. Don't let that dealer get away with that kind of BS.
This is the second time I've heard of this "cancelling the warranty" thing - how do they expect to get away with something like that - you bought the warranty, its part of the price of the car!
Hope it all turns out good for you.
I really hope someone with a 2K2 6-speed out on the west coast takes this challenge and spanks SCC. I *hate* that magazine. They should call it Honda Magazine because that's all they seem to favor. I am sick of reading articles about how to mod the tiny sh*tbox cars they always run. But I guess that's why they call it Sport COMPACT car. The magazine in general is not in favor of the slightly more expensive luxury-sport cars like the Maxima. They are *always* partial to the cheapo rice crap like Hondas, Ford Focus, and the smaller Acuras.
That aside, there number for the Altima/Maxima seem way off base. Someone needs to teach them a lesson and make them eat crow in the next issue, PLEASE.
