Strut Brace

I don't care if they work or not, if they suck, or if they're a waste of money, you have to decide on one of these tonight. Which would you choose?

https://www.andysautosport.com/produ...nm00fu-1p.html

These were really the only two I could find, and I had to dig for that Ultra Racing ebay bar, which I'm leaning towards. A one-piece design would be much more rigid.

I wish Cusco made them for our A33

Megan because it looks like a Stillen.

Hmmm, it looks different on Megans web page? https://meganracing.com/mr-sb-nm04fu-1p-i

That's a bummer! Thanks for the heads up. I remember seeing their stuff a long time ago on ebay. Too bad they don't have one for the 3.5. You saved me from who knows how long a wait and $200 though, thanks.

Wow, the one on megan's site looks better. I wonder if the Andy's pic is just a stock photo? Looks like I'm limited to this one anyway. Thanks for the link, I'll go directly through megan, unless I can find a single-piece unit like the Ultra Racing brace.

Yeah, I see that now. 95-08 covers a lot of years, something isn't right there. I'd contact Megan before ordering as the old style isn't listed on their site.

Are these adjustable sway bar links worth it? I don't have any experience with them. I run pretty low though, so they make sense. $130 with shipping.

I just ordered the strut bar and sway bar links. I'm doing a front-end rebuild after 3 years and 30k miles.

Rebuilt lower control arms with Moog ball joints and Energy Suspension bushings
New tires with road-force balance
Clean and ceramic coat front wheels
New Brembo rotors and Akebono pads (350Z brakes)
Energy Suspension cross member bushings
Energy suspension 23mm sway bar mounts
The adjustable SuperPro sway bar end links
Moog outer tie rod ends
Subframe collars using CS-AR's hardware (https://maxima.org/forums/advanced-s...=6#post9214469) - I have everything needed for this
Megan strut bar
New Cardone axles

I put all new OEM engine mounts in when I did the engine swap, so I'm not touching those just yet. They feel fine. I run low in the front though, so I'd like to do all this. I might eventually grab a front engine mount from a yard and rebuild it with an Energy Suspension bushing to keep the engine rocking to a minimal, my power steering pulley is close to the frame if you remember from the swap (all 7th gen accessories).

Anything else you guys can think of?

Well what you see is what you get from Megan direct. Ordered the brace through Megan' site and it arrived today appearing exactly as in their photo. Not sure what version the andysautosport.com brace is.

Did a quick, dry test fit on the towers and so far looks like it will clear the 7th gen intake manifold.

That one actually looks pretty good. How much clearance did you have over the manifold?

Looked like about a little over an inch or so, but that was sitting on top of the coilover nuts. I'll get pics when it's on.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but that is the new style by megan. The old style resembles a stillen bar, I have one, purchased in ~2018. They switched to the solid look sometime during 2020 iirc.

the bigger question is how is andyautosport even around any more ! lol ! all I can think of is faux hood scoopes, fender flares, body kits, and metal spoilers.....and even a couple fender "vents"

I have an "old style" megan racing fstb for sale now, it is "slotted" and has the thicker mounts. PM me if you haven't picked one yet

Thanks, I grabbed one a while ago. I'm a little pissed though, because I used an engine cleaner (two kinds, so I'm not sure which one did it) on the car for the first time last year, and it tarnished just about everything under the hood. So I just stopped opening my hood.

Ive been wondering if the UR strut bar would clear a 7th gen motor. My search for a 02-03’ Stillen bar has been unsuccessful so this one has been my runner up choice. Thanks for the info!
