2001 GLE with the VQ30, sometimes when cruising and coming off the gas the transmission will hang in high rpm range instead of downshifting, along with general shifting inconsistencies. In addition, going over hard bumps will make the car increase rpms without any throttle input and can throw it out of the proper gear for a second or two. Dashboard speedometer works but reports 2-4mph higher than an OBD tool. Cruise control is intermittent, restarting the car enough times will get it to work again. I have done the troubleshooting methods for every other cruise control fault except the VSS, and this is the only possible link between the two issues so I think it must be this, just want some external confirmation.
