Standard Motor Products Blue Streak Ignition Coil (which bank?)

Hello,

Standard Motor Products apparently has a relatively new line-up of ignition coils which are supposedly better than OEM. Everyone pretty much swears by Hitachi but I'd like to experiment with something new, hoping for the better. "9% higher spark energy and 18% higher secondary voltage" and being a few bucks less than Hitachi from Rock Auto, why not eh? Just one small problem, the fitment doesn't look like either the front or rear cylinder bank. Are these coils somehow interchangeable between banks?

This is the product info for the ignition coil I had in mind:

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...657&cc=1374533

Judging from the picture, it looks like neither your typical front/rear, left/right coil:

(left)

Will the Blue Streak coil even fit?

Thanks!

What engine do you have? 3.0 have different coils between banks. 3.5 are all the same.

Order the 2nd and 3rd coils you listed. They fit 00-01 only.

Unfortunately that engine was short lived so aftermarket parts are few and far between. The 3.5 crowd started using Audi R8 coils as an upgrade. https://www.my4dsc.com/audi-r8-coilp...ay-connectors/ I do see someone has them on a 3.0 with mods to the rear valvecover. https://www.my4dsc.com/installing-au...ight=r8%20coil The coils are pretty cheap. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...tion+coil,7060
