Ghetto Intake?

Hey everybody, sorry for not looking through the posts but my connection is too slow....

MaximaRacer28 from the 4th gen forum told me about a ghetto intake he made. He said that he took the bottom of his airbox out and put duck tape on it so the filter won't fall out. Sounds decent and seems like theres more power...

He offered to do it for me but I don't feel comfortable unless I had your guys' approval. I don't have money to fork out for a real intake cause I'm gathering funds for the tints. I know some people made other ones but I want everything to be 101% safe because I drive in the raid alot and over muddy roads because i live in the boondocks....any tips appreciated...thanks!

I don't know what you're talking about, but could you please shrink down the size of your sig?

Thanks, you didn't have to get rid of the whole thing though!

Look up "OSCAI" in the 5th Gen forum. Works great, and it’s safe. I didn’t cut the hole in my splashguard, I just tucked the shop-vac hose on top of it.

There’s been plenty of debate on whether or not it would suck up water. Sounds to me like a pretty solid "no."

Someone posted gains of .2 in the 1/4 with OSCAI, but I don’t remember who.

I have no idea what this other "ghetto" intake is.
