Nisformance upper mount inserts

a few weeks ago a google search for upper mount inserts lead me to the Nisformance upper mount inserts. for years I have ran E.S. lowers with no true options for upper mount inserts which always lead to the uppers ripping prematurely. Nisformance makes uppers and lowers that come in halves and are easy to install once the old bushings and sleeves are removed from the mount brackets. one thing I hate about the E.S. lower mount inserts is that I have to have a shop press them in and they usually charge $90 and I have to wait until the next day to pick them up, I was actually debating getting my own press. I'm most likely going to sell them and just get the Nisformance lowers.

I'm running basic Anchor brand replacements for the lowers for now along with the Nisformance uppers and everything seems more solid but not harsh.

I plan to get the lowers in another week or 2. my next mod is upgrading to 6th gen axles and I just paid $180 for the passenger side axle bracket 😕

here are some pics:

one last thing, the wider mount is for the engine side in case you get them mixed up.

the tranny side was a little tricky, had to spread the lower bracket to clear the bushing than tighten it until it gets back into the proper shape. once that is set you will need a slim long rod to pry the lower bracket in order to attach the 4 bolts through the lower bracket and onto the tranny...

ES mounts can be pressed in using your car as the press. Lube it up, jack up car and stick it under the tire and lower the car.

I'll have to try that. I have a new set they sent me for free. they are good about replacing them when it comes to their lifetime warranty. they just ask for a picture.

what about removing the old one? torch it?

You can also cut the ES mounts in half to insert in a similar fashion.

Never thought about using the car to press the bushings in.

Way back when, I used some all thread, a few nuts and brackets to press my ES mounts:

I used motorcycle chain lube and it worked like a charm 😎

going to install them with 6th Gen Axles once the passenger side axle bearing bracket comes in....
