@#$%! Just backed into my daughter's bike!

Busted a hole through the clear outer lens of my driver's side taillight. It was my own damn fault -- kind of. My wife was talking to me as I backed in (and I was actually paying attention) and I was watching how close I was to my tool chest on the side but not paying attention to how far in I was. The bike was where it was supposed to be, I just went back too far. Argh...

Anyone know if it is possible to just buy and replace the outer lens/cover, or do I have to buy the whole assembly? If I order from Courtesy, what do I need to tell them (and when/how) to get the Maxima.org 25% discount?

I think I got so stressed/pissed about it that my nose started to bleed. How's that for love?

BTW, if anyone can use this for a project you're doing, let me know and you can have it cheap (without bulbs). The only part damaged is the broken outer cover, no damage to the inside chromed parts or lenses.

I don't know if you can get the outter lens. My cousin got into a small accident with his 2k se and a respectable place told him that it isn't possible. But he went to some cheapo place (which I still question if they did a correct job or not) and they told him that they can replace the lens on the headlight.
You might want to check a junk yard or find someone on the org who has upgraded to 2k2 hid's.

Edit: Doh, I just realized you already have a 2k2.

Ding dong, you are wrong.

IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT

Your wife had no business distracting while you are driving your Maxima. It is her fault. She must answer for her erratic and intrusive interferance.

That's the first thing I did. But she saw that I was already pissed enough for both of us, so she just called me a dork and let it go. Better the replaceable taillight than sheet metal or paint anyway ... it just makes me mad that I have to shell out $80-100 for a stupid mistake. This is worse than a speeding ticket in my book.

How do I get the 25% discount at Courtesy? Just put somewhere on the online order form that I'd like the Maxima.org discount or something?

Speaking of blaming things on the wife, my wife decided to wreck her 01 Xterra yesterday. She thought it was a good idea to pull out in front of a Durango. Now its at the body shop for who knows how much work. At least she wasn't hurt.
