Hello - I hope all is well with everyone. I have two questions pertaining to my 2002 Max.

1. My climate control only blows heat or cold when the dial is set to #3. For some reason, dialing it to 1 or 2 produces no cool or hot air. What could be the issue?

2. Secondly, there seem to be something wrong with my door locks, with difficulty closing or opening it. For example, I am unable to open the driver side passenger door from the outside - I have to go in engage and re-engage the locking mechanism from the inside a couple of times for it open. The same behavior with all the other doors, except the driver's. In addition, sometimes I have slam the back doors very hard for them to engage and lock.

I would really appreciate any ideas and tips to resolve these issues.

1. likely to be a faulty blower motor resistor. will need to access blower motor and check actual b+ in each setting.
2. door latches are probably sticking internally.

 

thanks so much. I can buy and replace the resistor. But how do I fix #2 - the door latche?
