Help! - 2001 Max Se Auto Starting Problems
Hello all,
Just wanted some possible advice on why my 2001
max se - auto would start without a problem but
immediately stall or close to stall. this has been
happening the past few days everytime i start the
car after it has cooled for a while. after i
start it, i would have to gas it to avoid the
stall. i have made an appointment with the dealer
on thursday but i thought some insight might make
the problem easier to diagnose. btw the car has
8k miles on it. i had this problem in the past
but not as consistant as now. thanks in advance.

I have this problem last winter with my 2000 I30 and there was a TSB to correct it. The dealer reset the ECU and it has been fine since.

Re: stall
Thanks for the speedy response. Helpfully this
solves the problem. It sucks to have a nice new
car and yet have starting problems. After your
fix, have you had the problem return?
