I looked on the Jet chip website and it says the chip cost $399 and yeilds an improvement of 15hp. Only thing is that it doesn't specify a year. So I wrote them an email and hopefully i'll hear something back soon.

One guy on this forum had it...I haven't seen him around for a while. He says that the gains are solid, other members say the gains are BS....what can I say? Even if you only get mild gains, it might be worth it to get rid of the rev limiter (if you're the kinda guy who likes to cruise @ 140mph all the time).

Someone on the .Org get it and get dyno'd!

By the way, Kev, did you swap out your ECU after the SC? Or did you have it reprogrammed?

Stock ECU... I wouldn't trust the Jet ECU in my car.

no offense to the guys who have bought the JET chips but it's a waste of money.

I know a programmer who told me that the JET program removes the rev limiter (or places a higher one) and speed governor. The fuel and timing maps were not altered..

Much like what youre saying, Ive never heard a single good comment about a JET ECU. If you are lucky, their ECU will give the same power as stock.

From Jet Performance chips
We do have an ecu upgrade available for your application. The ecu upgrade does require that the factory ecu be sent to us for modification. You must purchase the upgrade package before sending the ecu to us for the modification. Suggested retail is $399.00, and the part number is 65002. The ecu upgrades are all done per the application, in other words, do all the modifications you intend on
doing before you get the ecu upgraded. That way the program can be set up for the specific modifications.Hp gains would be dependant on the extent of modifications.
Well this seems to be the excact email they sent to Tony Fernandes in January. Now they told me that it yeilds different hp for each application. So here's my take on the whole thing; although I do value Y2KEV's opinion, these chips have been around for a while and I know at least with some other cars they've done it's worked for them great. I say it's worth a shot. Anybody want to be the ginea pig and no it can't be me because I have no mods and i'm stationed in South Korea right now, but when I get back in November I would defiently be willing to try this. Of course that's after I install the engine mods first.

ok guys,and girls
I just saw the haltech unit(forget the model) 3e6 or something anyways this system is for imports, I talked to the guy for 20 mintues, now this system is the one for us, but the only problem it's about 1400, and 600.00 for installation, I was quite impressed with everything that can be done with this unit.
