I believe he was saying VW would still honor warranty if the car was modded with Neuspeed parts... like toyota and TRD.

Neuspeed is a german aftermarket part manufacture. The only one supported by VW.

The dealer sells these performance parts for the VW's. And will still Warranty the car with them.

Not so... check this out from Neuspeed's site (http://www.neuspeed.com/pages/history.html#1978):

To this day, NEUSPEED still leads the import tuning craze they pioneered in America decades ago. But like most of today's import veterans, Bill Neumann's passion for cars began in Detroit's heyday. First came a Model "A" restoration in 1947 when Bill was only 15. Then came a modified '39 Ford convertible, followed by his famous '31 Roadster, complete with handmade headers and body panels, and a new detailing innovation now known as billet accessories.

WIth the muscle car era in full swing, Bill Neumann and his two sons, Gary and Aaron started dyno-tuning and custom engine building in 1975, in a small 2,000 square foot building in Burbank, California. Bill had already established his name in the automotive community during his employment at Petersen Publishing, where he served as editor of Rod and Custom magazine in the early 1960's.

They also make parts for Hondas and Acuras.. bleagh

..what an idiot..dealers will tell you anything...
Wake up..unless you have TRD products, it's really hard to get dealers to warranty your aftermarket performance stuff without hassels. That being said, My Nissan dealer near my place told me that STillen is covered under manufactur warranty (confirmed with two guys in service department)..and then once it comes to fix my CEL light(mods on my car), they simply told me to go somewhere else or I pay for the service, cuz they are afraid that Nissan won't pay for the diagnostic and service. Weird huh???

Being covered under manufactur warranty DOES NOT equal to get your MODDED car fixed under warranty!!! regardless it's Neuspeed, comptech, etc cuz they can always find a way to blame on your MODDED car.
