I don't think I have heard anyone with a 5th gen do the tranny swap. Lots of 4th gens have done it, and it should be pretty much the same as the 4th gens.

Thanks guys. I was thinking that it would be not be that hard..But then we are talking about a trany swap. Still nothing as bad as puting the guts of a VQ30DET in to a VQ30DE. Well thanks guys. I guess I need to start looking for a 2k max that has been hit in the rear or some thing.
Oh one more thing do you think the ABS will still work or is that more parts I will need to swap?

I don't think the ABS should be affected.

don't think it's worth it... the amount of money you spent on the swap. you can get more mod. to make your automagic faster

max2000... To me its not a "make it go faster" thing. I personaly enjoy driveing a manual more than I do an auto. Yes I will do some mods to make my car faster but I dont want a car that has like 400hp... If I wanted that I would buy a honda and do some really bad things to it.....

In my mind I would think it would be difficult to sell a car that has gone through this kind of conversion. I'm not sure this has come up for the 4th gen cars as they are still relatively new. You might want to ask the 4th gen what the potential affects are on resale. Hope this helps.
