Saw a pic of a 2k2 strut bar from stillen

In my Sport Compact Car mag in the stillen ad they have a pic of the strut bar for 2K2 maxima it looks like a regular bar but it looks like it folds in half. It isn't a solid bar.

It doesnt fold in half. That center bracket bolts to the firewall. Each strut tower is connected to the firewall in the middle, instead of to the other tower across the engine bay.

It is truly cool....

It should bemore effective. Normal FSTBs just keep the towers from flexing laterally in relation to each other. THis design prevents both lateral and longitudinal flex in relation to the whole car.

Yep. Better actually.

Best thing would be a WELDED bar across the strut towers, and separate bars from the strut tower to the fire wall.

A lot of Japanese tuners use the triangle design since it increases the strength of the bar more than the 2 point design. You'll also see triangle braces for the subframe.

If you ever look at race cars, you'll notice several cross bars on their rollbar. The 3 point STB has a similar effect in increasing the strength.
