get outside air with Berk, or any other wai....

i just might have stumble onto something that will benefit folks who had gone from the oscai set to berk, franken, or any other warm air intake...here goes, kinda long...

finished the berk intake and was in the process of removing the "tube" from the oscai.....i was gonna just yank the tube out, then this idea just poppped(no pun intended)into my head, keep the tube right where it is, disconnect from the "top" and tuck it right under the stock air scoop and point the open end right under the berk intake......voila...yeah, i know it's not a true cold air intake, however, i feel good knowing that outside air is rushed in at maybe +15mph?

impressions so far....better throttle response over oscai, nice little "high tech" whistle sound from 3krpm to redline...just thought i share this idea.....peace.

frankencar

Why did you decide to go with the Berk instead of your oscai setup? Is this what the next stage of the frankencar intake will include?

Thanks
Brendan

2002MaxSe, better top end with the berk set up over the oscai; franken, berk and others, i believe, are working on something that will incorporate a heatshield. i just have the tube right under the air filter.

gs533, similiar, but the stock air box is completely removed on the 5th gen.
