Loose hood

Recently our 2002 SE has been rattlin like a *****, and it took me a while to isolate. After the search, I think it's the hood. I recognize that a little hood "flutter" is normal near the windshield (seen the posts.) But there is about an eighth of an inch (maybe a little more?) of play at the latch. Our other car is tight at the latch. This is the only thing I can find....

Anybody else experience this?

I'm not sure where the you do it, but you can 'fine tune' how tight the hood is closed. Maybe someone can shed some light on this.

Uh oh

They haven't fixed this on the 2k2's? Most of us fixed the rattle problem by raising the hood stops on either side of the engine bay.

I dont think it's a serious problem. It's kinda like having a loose gas cap, just tighten it (I'm just not sure where the hood tightener thingy is).
