How to remove the middle air vents?

Has anyone removed the middle air vents? If so how did you so it without any problems?

I wanna fix the rattle in the middle dash between the vents and the clock. I realize I'm not the only one who has had this problem. Anyone who has how did you fix it?

Thanks

just give it a good yank...make sure your not holding onto the air loveurs...or whatever..its the part that moves up and down to direct the air..just pry it out from the top to loosen it..and grab it from the bottom..theres like 4 clips that hold it in

And for gods sake DONT use a screwdriver like the idiot service guy did on mine...they ended up having to order a new radio after gouging the top right corner with the screwdriver.

Thanks for the tip! What do you suggest?

According to the ESM (and my experience) the suggestions above work. Just get your fingers in the top of the vent area and give a good tug. You'll hear it pop and then kinda wiggle it out. The diagonal is a good suggestion. And do be careful of the moveable vents things...easy to miss, break and then REALLY get mad.
