I was driving home Saturday afternoon with my gf. This new S55 came up and stayed right next to us on the freeway. we were talking and all the sudden my gf stopped...I looked at her and she told me "The old guy is staring at us" So I took a look

it was a grandpa driving it and he kept looking at my gf (or maybe me). So I sped up a little and he caught up with us, staring and smiling at her again. I tried to slow down....he did the same. This is not the first time that I got into a race like this. But I have never faced a car with such caliber. Finally I was tired of getting eye-raped and decided to get rid off him. The race started....

I gunned it at 75 and soon I pulled a 3-car length then cut in front of him. Then he hit it.....all I saw was his S55 became bigger and bigger on my mirror. He shifted to the right and passed me without any difficulty, like cutting butter with a red hot knife, pulled up right next to us, gave her his last dirty look and smile, then finally left me in the dust. My meter reads 110.

from this race, I learned
1.A car that is 5x expensive than mine doesnt mean it is 5x faster than mine.

2.Few ways to prevent someone you care from getting harassed by someone with a fast car
a.Get an M5 with a "Who's your daddy?!?!" bumper sticker
b.Get your window tinted, as dark as possible
c.Drive a monster truck so they only can see ur tires.

3.Viagra does cause the excessive secretion of testosterone which induces aggressive and abnormal behavior, and which should be prohibited while driving.

 

Give the old guy a break. He worked hard his whole life to buy that vehicle! As his bodily speed decreases, he can regain that lost vigor in the seat of an S55. He probably just bought the thing and can't wait to show off his superiority to a lowbred maxima before the doctors ban him from driving.

 

Ah a car w/ 5x the power of a maxima would put you at about 950hp. How long did you actually think the cost of the car was directly porportional to it's hp?

 

Pops is handling 355 hp.

What the specs dont tell you is how fast the car is in the 50-120 mph range...it's freaking awesome in hat range...yet it costs roughly 2.5x a Max (about $72k) but it's the ne plus ultra of automagic 4-door sedans.

u know they actually make An S55, right?? they also make a C55 and even an M55!!

my uncle just got a new S55. its such a tank but so amazing. i almost wet myself when he volunteered to let me drive. 355 hp and 391 lb-ft. 0-6 in about 5.7 i think and low 14 quarter mile. keep in mind that it weighs over 4000 lbs. starts at about a little over $100,000.


FYI - the C class AMG is the C32 not C55. every other AMG is *55

This reply might not belong here. But when I had my Trans am, I had a similar encounter with a Porsche 996. I had a BLUEHAIR pull up at a light, wink at my wife and start, the testosterone flow......Guess what , I had just put my 255/50 Drag Radials on my Six Speed. I heated them up before the light turned green. He reved his " HITLER " injected motor,,, When the light turned green , he was staring at my "BIG BOYS DRIVE TA TOYS " plate frame so fats , his wig fell off. We got to the next light and he asked " How come I paid 80,000.00 for this and you just beat me ? " I said ....I dont know, it's called wise " RACING INVESTMENTS". If I get a blower for my 2002 Maxx for about $5000.00 ... That Benzo will be sniffing 29 year old SEMEN !

 

hah i love your choice of words. yeah im looking forward to boosting my car so people are baffled when my car is that much faster than theirs.

 

M55? If you're referring to the MB SUV, it's called the ML55. I'm looking to trade both my 99 Accord and Y2K Quest SE for a Stamark Preowned ML55 in about a year.

ML55 Quick Stats:
5.4-liter V-8 w/ 342 horsepower at 5500 rpm
0-60: 6.8 sec
1/4 mile: 15.3 sec @ 92mph
Top Speed: 141mph

and the options package on this thing puts the ML430 to shame.

 

I think I just wet my pants laughing..

 

Don't forget the SLK32 - it has the 3.2L Kompressor as well.

As for the old rasin blowing ya away- you gotta give him credit. All too often, you see a nice expensive performance car (Corvette Z06, M5, anything with AMG on it, etc...) driving like they're asleep.
