Not true, I have a 2002 and received the letter about two weeks ago...I'm not too concerned though.

Recalls are sent based on the VIN. They know when your car was manufactured. If you received the letter, you most likely have the problem.

I dont' think i've gotten the letter yet either. How do I check when the vehicle was produced? And if you don't get the letter, does that mean you won't have the problem?

Emax,
I am in the same boat as you. My car, w/ 6spd, was manuf. 10/01, but I did not get a recall notice. Go to the Nissan website and print off the range of VIN's affected. I would bet you are just outside of the range like I am.

Open the driver's door and look at the B pillar near the bottom of the pillar.
