u-turns and mall parking...ranting with solution

I like to back into parking spots because usually when I'm ready to leave somewhere, its much more convenient to simply pull forward out of a parking space - especially during Christmas time.
Also, the minute I bought my I35 I noticed that it has a turning radius comparable to that of a school bus. It sucks. My 97 Mercury Sable can make U-turns without breaking a sweat. In my I35 I don't even attempt U-turns.
Are Maximas the same way?
