Looks Like Rain 11/26/00 My B-day :)

I looked on the weather channel and it says 100 percent
chance of rain. When I called the track phone number
it gave a rain date of December 3. How much rain is
too much rain? Doesn't look like I need to be getting
up early tomorrow, does it? When I called the number,
it was just a recording, do you think if I try tomorrow
morning I will speak to someone?

Really wanted to go and see some of these maxima's
and other imports, but looks like I'll have to wait
until next week. Another thing I was wondering
what it takes to race in this thing, I've never
been to one and my maxima is completely stock
when it comes to the engine. What's the point, do I just
get timed or what? Was really just interested in checking
out the other cars but if I'm able to do a timed run, I'll
do that too. How much does it cost? What would I need to do?

I'm pretty sure that is starts at 12 noon, but racers should be there by 10am to register and go through tech inspection. I'll let you know if anything changes.

What is needed to race.

What will I need to race?
Other then a car of course.
(Ex. Helmet, etc.)

The real reason I am going, is to see
some SWEET cars. But, it would not
hurt to know what my car and I can
do in a 1/4 mile.

That is what they do at this track
isn't it?

P.S. What is with the line in my SIG
above my pic? ANYONE? ANYONE? ANYONE?

Race Time

I have to confirm this with the track but I believe the racer gates open at 10am and the spectator gates open at 12 noon. I'll repost when I have confirmation.

I believe a helmet is all that is required except for the entry fee which is usually in the $20-$40 range, also they sell race fuel there if you'd like to use it, 110 octane is about $4 a gallon and 114 octane is about $5 a gallon. If your car will run under 11.8 seconds they require a roll cage, but I doubt that will be a problem.

Fianally got all the info.

Race is on for tomorrow, gates open for racers at 10am, but the guy said you can show up until 11:30 and still get in. Spectator gates are also open at 10, however he said no one races until 1pm so unless you want to freeze to death plan on showing up around 12:30. Here are the prices:

$40 - To Race
$15 - Spectator
$30 - Spectator w/Pit access

Hope to see you there, I'll be in the red RX-7 seen in my sig below, and I'll be with Jason96GLE he has a stock gold 96 Maxima GLE with the gold emblems.
