I am helping my fiancee to buy used 2000-2001 Maxima. Deciding btw GXE vs. GLE. Do you know if GLE drives better/smoother vs. GXE?

I know both cars made on the same platform and we do not really care for leather/moonroof but we were told by the dealer that GLE drives better due to better quality.

Can anybody confirm that or it is just dealer's B.S.?

i have a GXE and have driven a GLE before and i haven't felt a difference in the "quality" of driving. if people tell u that the GLE drives better, it's all B.S. i do know that SEs have the sport suspension.

Yeah I don't believe that the GLE drives smoother than a GXE since they are both on the same platform. But it may be true in that the GLE weighs more so you have the more crisp ride and less bounce.

I think the bigger tires and wheels along with the added weight of the GLE give it a firmer ride. I know that my SE rides rougher than the GXE because of the bigger rims and the upgraded suspension of the SE.
