2k2er on Key West last week?
I know, it's a long shot.. just curious.. perhaps you were the one burying the poor guy who fell asleep on the beach. Rule #1 when parking in FL, check the palm trees for coconuts. yeah, I checked first.
btw, it has been tested and its not possible (even with Tom's Diner playing) to catch the setting sun. even wayyy past 100. ok, only TWO places you can be passed at 100. that's TX and now as I have seen, the R. Reagan Tollway/Turnpike near the Everglades...
actually, we had to slow down ALOT at night. there were at least 10 deer near the road ever 5 miles.

ive always dreamed about driving on a road like that. my friend who just moved to VA from FL told me she's still "getting used to hills" because there are none in FL. ive lived in VA my whole life and when i see like a 3/4 mile stretch of highway without any hills or turns i get all giddy. i gotta go on a cross country road trip once in my life just to see some of those roads.

yeah...
I've had the car for 30+ months and only had 25K miles, so I drove. I know.. crazy. But I made Smokey and the Bandit look like amateurs!
ANY fun you may have on the Turnpike is quickly and thoroughly forgotten if you drive the keys. 2 hours at 35-45. No exceptions. it sucks. And god forbid you hit a protected Key Deer. I heard its 10K and they can take your car.
bottom line, the maxima is a wonderful road tripper. Will cruise comfortabily at any speed. Will not fatique you. and is fun no matter what kind of road, flat or twisty (not really twisty tho)
