Raced a 1.8t!
Okay, It isn't like me to race but I did it anyway. I have a friend with an 2000 1.8t gti. The only mods that he has on it is coil overs and a stainless steel exhaust. We started at about 80 he got a little jump on me but I was passing him by around 110 or so. I'm thinking when he gets his chip (never mind a turbo upgrade!) he would probably beat me.

but we'll just have to see when I do get that chip
turbo upgrade won't be in my plans for some time though.
I have to give you guys credit, the maxima engine is a nice piece. but don't count out my little 1.8 four banger

Im going to have to agree with some of the max owners on this post...my girlfriend has a 2k2 1.8T and I just installed a chip and H&R springs...sssswwwwoooossshhhh!!! That car dips!! Not as fast as my car, but I ordered a Greddy G2 cat-back, downpipe, inlet pipe and an intake that should all be here next wk. Im estimating that she would probably be around the low 14's... thats not bad. But once I throw that T3/T4 in that little sucker Im gonna need some more power to keep up.
