For those of you who are planning on getting the Place Racing Cold Air Intake I have some updates. After 4 months of having the CAI installed on my 2001 maxima, i've noticed a lot of changes. Here are just some of my imputs on the Place Racing (CAI)

Likes:
1. horse power increase (5-10) real world horsepower
2. More horsepower on top end speeds, (95mph-135mph)
3. Quiet Smooth Ride, until you step on the gas pedal
4. Nice Powdercoated finish inside your engine bay
5. Provides Colder Air than a Stillen hi flow or/ jim wolf Intake
6. Place Racing w/ Greddy Evo makes a perfect Growl Noise at WOT

Dislikes:
1. Minimal of 2hrs to install, if you have the proper equipment
2. Monster Flow Intake Makes a Whistling Noise at start up's
3. When you shift gears, the Intake seems to move
4. Monster Flow Intake takes up a lot of room in the fenderwell
5. Upgrading to 19" Rims are impossible because there is a rub
inbetween the tires to the fenderwell, when turn your wheels
6. Hazardeous if you live in places that snow or rain a lot

Overall these are just some of my feedbacks on the Place Racing(CAI)
Hope that it could be helpful to those planning on purchasing the (CAI). I like them very much. Just like any other product out there. There are always advantages and disavantages.

 

This is what I thought too about on your dislikes. But then I called Greg of custommaxima and he said that the template is wrong and that the PRCAI with the monster flow fits fine if you move the whole up closer to the windshield about 1.5". This has also been said by other people on the .org if you use the search.
