My wife might not appreciate me broadcasting her age into cyberspace, so I won't. But this afternoon she's going to go pick up our not-quite-4-y/o granddaughter for a weekend visit.

Our 5-speed Super Black 20AE is her daily driver.

I'm 3rd oldest so far in this thread, at 54, and most of the mod $ has gone into the Malibu.

33, but I was 31 (it was my birthday in fact) when I bought our first 5th-gen ('00 GXE), and 27 when I bought our first Maxima ('96 GXE).

 

Thou shalt count to the number 21... 20 being too few... and 22 being too many. ;-)


I'm amazed at how many 20-30 year old Max owners there are. I guess after 40 years or so you tend to lean twards the ride of a boat (i.e. Crown Vic). uuhhh... I'll never go that route.

 

I've been 21 for 11 years now...
2K SE Automagic...she's turning 2 in July...and we just hit the 30K miles mark this week.

 

As I said before (page 4), then why do you do it?
You realize that if you drove a beater through college you'd be able to study more, and work less, or use that work money towards your college expenses, right?

Besides, your education is more important than your car.

I'd like to cast my vote for Chicago for a Maxus. As much as I'd like to go out to Vegas (I even have family there), I just can't ignore the fact that it's 10 times farther from my house than Chicago. Plus, who wants to argue with Maxim about where the #1 city is? Have you read a Maxim lately? I'm sure us mid-westerners will get out-voted because I don't think we are in a majority here.

Now for the math..number of ages reported so far is 108
the total number of years is 2,786
2786 divided by 108 = 25.796
The average age reported 25.8 years for 5th gen drivers...

At first glance I thought there were a lot YOUNG guys buying brand new cars. But the actual numbers tell me that I was the norm when I bought my 3rd gen at 26.

 

On the average age list, did not see mine, maybe im to old to post. cigarmanh 70 years last sept, love to drive, first up market car i have ever owned, SE with 6-speed,tint windows,window reflecter's.

That would bring us to 26.3 years of age.

The average 26 year old is a few years out of college.

Perhaps married with a kid or two or three.

Maybe a house but more like a condo or townhouse.

Considering that the 2k2 costs around 25-30k,
that puts the average driver just above average median income. WOW!!

I just turned 32 last month. Still feel like 22. Max has 59k on it.

EXACTLY, I cant stand those. Nissan ALL the way. Besides, all those listed above are for poser ricers except, the mustang those are for mullet wearing freaks.

19 here, only mod is the tinted windows. thinking of putting a stillen performance exhaust in, but not too many others. im happy with my 2k pretty much as is. i love having a great car right out of the factory. i laugh at those dip****s who buy these old junkers then spend ****loads "pimpin them out" and my car is nicer and i can still smoke them off the line.

I convinced my dad to buy my* 2000 Maxima GLE, when he got promoted to VP at the Texas office in turn loseing his company car, but when we moved to Birmingham, Alabama last summer he recieved a Crown Vic as his company car so Bling, Bling I got the Maxima.
