And how much would it cost to mod an Altima or Max so it would out-handle and out-brake a 330ci? $15,000?

What exactly then are you paying for with the BMW? Caressing that nice soft-touch German plastic as a consolation prize?

Listen, this thread was started by a member who recently made an upgrade from a Max to a bimmer. At least most of us think of it as an upgrade. If you wanna debate about how awful the BMW is and how incredible the Altima is then start another thread.

BTW, my roommate has the 2.5 and I love it. I was shocked how fast it was and how well it handled. So no, the Altima is NOT the enemy. Just dont agree with you all the way though. Maxima having a hard time keeping up with the Atly???

Yes, I think it's time to give the thread a break.

Good luck with the Bimmer (and keep an eye on that rearview.)

i just bought a 325Ci after considering the alti and the max, and overall, i feel like i'd be happy with either decision... whereas my car is not as fast as the max, i like it
i also enjoy the idea of being able to roll with my friend with the max, just to shake things up a little and both of us get the best of both worlds...
good luck with ur new 330i
and btw, the Dinan CAI is NOT yet out for the 2k2's because the bi-xenon has a different ballast set up than did the previous xenons...

here's to max and bimmer owners "just getting along" hehe later all

Man I think you were the 1st with a SC Diedrick (sorry for spelling) and now the guy that inspired me to get my SC decides to sell the car

Well Good luck, with all, if you are ever back in Austin let me know we can get a bite to eat and we can see how a BMW does against a 2K SC 5spd.

You my man, have to go through some silent thinking by yourself. What about a ferrari?? Im sure you could take a CRX, and make that out handle a ferrari, but whats your choice?? You can spend 3gs, on a used CRX, lets say i give you a nice 10Gs to fix up your suspension, and that'll bring u to 13g, compared to a ferrari's 200G plus. So what exactly are you paying for in a Ferrari??

Go buy a Yugo and custom turbo it, drop some suspension components and stop carresing your 6 speakers in your maxima.

Kevin thanks and yes I will stop back by to give yall a report. I left work today a 5 p.m. CST and there was only one page on this thread, then I check it tonight and there are 4 pages with a newbie creating a lot of debate. Hey Sandman2K if you love your altima GREAT there was no disrespect intended, however that being said, I think your opinions are in the minority and "somewhat" inaccurate. To the rest of yall thanks for the goodbyes and goodlucks.

Do me a favor an e-mail me you phone number(s) to my work e-mail address at fikkertd@syncor.com so that I can get in touch with you next time I'm in Austin. I was just down there a couple of weeks ago giving a lecture at the University of Texas pharmacy school. Later
