Just used Zaino for the first time and all I can say is WOW Gave it the full treatment:

Dawn Wash
Clay Bar
Zaino Wash
Zaino Polish

It took about 4 hours to do everything and was totally worth it!!! Check it out at the following link if you'd like:

Man, you beat me to it! I got my order fom Zaino 2 weeks ago but the weather here in PA has been either too cold, or raining on the weekend. I also have a Maj. Blue 2k2 6spd, but without the meridan, hlsd, and side bags that your car has. How many coats of polish did you put on? Looks great! Can't wait to do mine! Did you do the rims too? I am tempted to take the tires off the car so I can do the inside of the rim as well, but I was worried that my wife would think I was going crazy. Well it turns out that she had the same thoughts herself! Gotta love a woman who actually wants a 6 speed.

That is actually only one coat! Basically me and a buddy (who drives a S4) went over to a mutual friend's house (who drives a Camaro SS) to do the treatment and see what Zaino could do... Neither myself nor the guy with the S4 had ever used Zaino before, but our buddy with the SS swears by it and wanted us to give it a try. As soon as my order for Zaino products comes in I'll do a second coat, wheels, etc... The product is simply amazing, smells nice, and is really easy to apply and remove! It also doesn't produce excessive dust and doesn't stain rubber trim either... VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Thanks for everybody's positive comments on my car!

How much of a difference would the clay bar make on my Icelandic pearl 2000 SE, or should I even bother?

Thanks,
Jason

I would imagine that a clay bar would make a huge difference on a white car! My last car was a White '94 Acura Legend (which I sold to a buddy) and I can't wait to see what it looks like after the clay bar...

dm7297 - You can get Zaino products at www.zainobros.com. Well worth the price!!!

ssiperko - It looks like you were busy today

FYI, I'll be out of town till Wednesday night and won't have access to a computer until I get back. Just in case you were trying to reach me regarding this post...

If you go to the Zaino site, they have a FAQ section which will tell you what you need to order. I basically ordered the clay bar, pre-treater, the soap, Z-2, Z-5, Z-6(to keep the car clean), the wheel dressing and the accelerator to speed up curing. I don't need it all for the Max, but we have an '96 Explorer that is in good shape that I want really put Zaino to the test on. Lots of scratches in the clear coat. With the cold weather last week, drought restrictions (can only wash every other Sat.) in SE Pa, I need to have the right combination of weather and date to be able to do it! We can was the car at a U-wash (hi pressure spray) but I need a bit of water to rinse after the clay bar, and I don't want to clay the car at the U-wash and then drive it 20 minutes home to polish it. With the accelerator I can do multiple coats in 1 day. I have used the tire dressing and like how it looks and lasts. It makes the tires black w/out a super high gloss. It is expensive, but should last a long time.

Looks Great! Zaino makes the dark blue really "majestic". I just did mine about a week ago so I understand your enthusiasm.
