What intake should i get to put on my 2002 Max GLE???

I'm not really framliliar with how to install car stuff, how long do you think it would take me to install it or should i just let someone else do it??

I'm thinking the Jim wolf intake? Do intakes void the warranty or anything?

It all depends on your taste I guess. You can choose from JWT, Berk, Franken and Stillen intakes. Everybody has there own opinion and view on which one is better. You can do the install yourself, it only takes 20-30 minutes to install. I believe there is a thread on how to install a JWT pop charger on this site. Intakes DO NOT void out your warranty, so don't worry about it.

 

You are lucky I am not an admin, this thread would have allready been deleted. There are two active intake threads on page one, if you read them you might not need redundant posts.

 

Uhhhh. I'm not sure I'd take that advice if I were you. ANY aftermarket mod is grounds for a hassle with the dealer. So unless you've got a really good relationship with your Service Writer, I'd recommend that you put your stock intake back on before you take your vehicle in for warranty service.

I don't have that problem, of course. But then I'm not the founding member of the Take Your Service Writer to Lunch Club for nothing!

Have you try the K&N Drop-in Filter.

I have Weapon-R before, I took it out and put back the stock Air filter Box and use K&N Drop-in Filter. Excellent> Smooth > Quiet > worthy.

I Love It

 

It's even better with an OSCAI. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether you can install an OSCAI on a 2K2. Anybody know the answer to that?

90% of all dealerships wont hassle you for a simple intake. I've taken my car to be serviced at 5 different Southern Cali Nissan Service Depts, and none so far have ever questioned the intake. BTW, lock the thread now please.

that was what I did when I went back for rotor warpage and inspection. I took off my OSCAI, I didnt want them to laugh at my rain gutter and then void my warranty.

 

Unless your looking for a different sound then disregard the intake all together.Spend your money on a FSTB or RSB.You will be much happier with handling mods.If you insist on an intake just go with the K&N drop in.It will change the sound and a monkey could put it in.Im putting my stock intake back on to see if I like it better than my frankencar.If I do like it better I will have one for sale.Good luck.

 

Want a Frankencar for less $$$? Get the Frankencar intake pipe kit and then get a K&N filter would be less than 1 bone! I got a FrankenBerk combo and am Thrilled by the gain and sound!

im such a newb, what are those FTSB abbreviations and such , i know i saw a page with what they meant listed

 

Installed the Frankencar this weekend, the sound is awesome. It has to be making more power, the stock inlet system is convoluted.

I believe the abbreviation is FSTB for Front Strut Tower Brace!
