Any recommendations on where to get ALARM installed?...

Using 'Search' I have decided on one of a couple alarms.. (clifford or viper, etc.) but does anyone have any recommendations on where to get it installed? I went to Mobile One, and didn't get a good feeling about the people there. They seemed VERY young and high-pressured. (No offense intended) I know the installation's not brain surgery or anything, but I'd like to feel GOOD about the install... maybe even have a warranty on it, etc.

Any recommendations for the install would be greatly appreciated.

Thx

I'm actually located in Houston, Tx.

There's Circuit City, CJ Sounds, Mobile One. I can't really name any more...

I also can't think of any alarm stores off hand. Although, maybe I can try to find out if there is any in my area.

just ask around how they install it....my mom's camry got a crappy installation....they didnt even hide the alarm and the buttons. make sure that if they install it, they should at least put the alarm into somewhere that's hard to find. the one in the camry just way to obvious....u opened the hood, u can see where it's located.

Any ideal places to "hide the alarm?"

I went to Mobile One and they said they'd put it under the dash and that's typical of where anyone would.

I had another guy there say that he may have to de-activate my driver-side air-bag! That's EXACTLY when I got scared, and decided to ask some of you guys...

In Houston, you might want to consider the Compustar remote start\alarm that includes a pager. It's around $500 or more depending on which model you get. The only dealer in Houston is A-to-Z Car Accessories.

Otherwise, Electronics Boutique charges $350 for the Viper 550 installed.

Well, I just got off the phone w/ Circuit City...

- $279.00 (reg. $349.00) installed for Viper 600
- $400.00 installed for Viper 800

He was recommending Viper 600. He said that the Viper 800 doesn't really offer any "real-life" useful advantages. (I dunno)

According to this it seems to...
http://www.alarms.com/security/viper/default.asp

They offer a lifetime warranty, and my experience w/ Curcuit City has always been good.
