Extended engine crank on 2001 Maxima?

Hi!

I have 2001 Maxima GLE, 19k on it. Recently I began to have a problem starting it. Once in a while (regardless of the weather conditions) the car won't start, , and it would take 2-3 times before it does. I took it to a dealer 6 times but they "can't replicate the problem" and therefore won't do anything to fix it.

Does anyone had (or knows about) something like this and knows how to fix it?

Thanks for any information!

the first dealer i went to did this. i noticed the delayed and sometimes lack of starting after i started it, ran it for a short distance and tried to crank it back up. i went to a second dealer that knew what the problem was and didnt even bother to replicate it. they ordered two parts and i had it fixed with a week and a half. there was a tsb on it. you can search the national highway transportation website and find it there or just search here and you should find plenty.

Swear to god I have searched the TSB's and not come up with one that matched. This is a much talked about and popular prob for Max owners. Please report on what those "two parts" are and the TSB number. Love to get this long-time irritant fixed.

i looked on my receipt and they dont list the tsb that i went in for. ill look through my records because ive got a little slip with the parts they ordered listed on them. if i can't find it, i could give you the dealerships number and my service guy and im sure he could either give you the part number or get in the touch with your dealership. pm me if you want it, id rather not bog him down completely.
