Can you be more specific as to when the transmission hangs up like that. If it happens in the 1-2 shift, then it is probably the TCM. This issue has been discussed at length. There is a TSB on it. Do a search and I am sure you will be able to find a bunch of posts. Good luck

well...

"engine revs, doesnt go" may be a little too far gone for the TCM only. Youre supposed to get the new TCM before that happens. Your tranny may be cooked.

First, right away, before going back! Check your tranny fluid. Make sure your levels are correct. Look at the fluid, is it clear and sweet smelling? or dark, syrupy brown with a bitter smell (burnt)?

Second, find another dealer. This TCM is *widely* known. Your service writer should be well aware of this. Save yourself the hassle and get to a dealer who at least says "hmmm, lets take a look at that"

Dont mention the Service Bulletin right off.. Just tell them what the symtoms are, let them find it. they will often get defensive if you suggest the problem by having the TSB in hand.

dont play this card until your second visit, but print it and have it ready. You may be in the step two stage of needing a new tranny. You wouldnt be the first.

Good luck. We have all beat this topic to death. But I see your new to posting. Use the search feature for TCM or TSB. Let us know if you need more info, most of us have gone thru the TCM replacement and a small number have had the tranny replaced. (a VERY small number)

I'm pissed

yes I had the above problem...they replace the TCM and a month later I blew the transmission...it apparently seized...they replaced the transmission but now it seems to shift slow again...they say its supposed to be like that...i say bullsh!t. I am going to test a new Max...if it does it then fine...if it doesn't well someone is getting their *** kicked...oh and by the way...some jerk just hit my car last tuesday...scraped my passenger side rear wheel well to the front door...very pissed. I am definatelt no having a lot of luck with this car.
