Brake Judder 2000 I30
Having classic symtoms of Brake Judder for 1 year and on my last trip the entire car was shaking during high speed braking. Going to take it to Infiniti tomorrow (Friday) to have it looked at with a nice letter explaing the symtoms & stating that I am aware that there is a TSB addressing the issue.
So lets see if the Infiniti service is really what they say it is.
Since I do my own maintance, I never go to the dealer which I am sure will be one strike against me.
Only other time I had it to Infiniti was to fix a problem with a drop in RPMs after cold starts. I told them there was a TSB to fix it (they wanted to keep the car over night to prove that the problem existed before working on it). When I asked them to just follow the TSB (without keeping the car over night) since I knew what the problem was, they had a hissy fit! (the TSB did fix that problem just fine)
Any other I30 owners bring there car in for Judder? How was your dealer? Did they charge you?

There only obligated to do that TSB in the first year or 12K miles. After that your going to pay to have them resurface your rotors.
Unless your dealer is really REALL good to you, I doubt your getting that service for free at this point in your cars life.
Also keep in mind a TSB isn't a requirement for work, it's only a Technical Service Bulliten that addresses a known problem which makes it easier for mechanics to locate and fix common problems. It is not a warranty repair unless your car is still under warrnaty.
Rotors are covered for 1 year or 12K, after that they are considered a "normal ware item".

If Infiniti service is as great as they say, they should at least turn the rotors for you.
