Post-Supercharger stalling/other issues?

Hi everyone,

I'm shortly going to be going for the Stillen blower kit, but I was wondering if someone could enlighten me on the headaches/problems they've had with their installs on 5th gens : it'll be going on my Y2K SE (though the thought occured to me I could sneak it onto my father's GXE while he's gone for two weeks, and take a picture of the "oh $hit!" look on his face when he steps on it, unsuspecting hee hee).

I'm going to be picking up a valvebody, y-pipe et all prior to the blower (don't want to blow anything up so to speak ), and will likely order a new BOV as soon as the blower is in. I've been told however that this kit has been an utter nightmare for some; aside from the belt chaffing/idler pulley melting (I'm hoping to have someone make a pulley for me locally - I know someone who does blower pulleys for Eatons - hopefully he can spare some time to make a couple if I can't find one from Stillen/etc.). Namely, I'm looking for input from anyone who's had other problems : I've heard of stalling (though without details) so far; any known causes? Computer issues, fuel issues, etc?.. anybody have any heartaches after getting this thing on?

Any comments/thoughts about your installs, botched or not would be appreciated

Jer
