5th Gen ONLY new Maxspeed Group Deal up and running!

Get into Group Deals off the main forum page and get in on this so we can get the best prices. This is an excellent deal on a great product... Right now it is 2000-2002 5th Gen drivers only, if you have been thinking about this and putting it off now is the time. $85 for the set of 4 if we get 10 or more people. Search and you will find tons of posts on these, all Max owners with them so far have been happy with them. This is not a big Q/A thread, just search please, if you have questions. It just seems like a ton of people want these, and get in a few days too late because they don't hear about the Group Deal going on. So I am letting you know!

...You have these right? How have you felt about them? Did you have to change out your stock shocks/struts right away?

Get these guys. I 100% recommend them. They are a TRUE Bang for the BUCK ! Expect 1 in the front and close to 1 in the back..then wait about three weeks like me, and you'll see an extra 1/4 inch more on both...

will they mess up the stock struts? also the rear of my car already looks lowered, cause of the 150+ pounds of subs + box. i only want to install them in the front, ofcourse if they look stupid i will change the rear ones as well. do u think it will affect the suspension to have the maxspeeds in the front, and stock in the rear

so it's close to even front and rear drop??? i thought the ratio was much more uneven than that. like a bit more in the front and less in the back.

yo,
here's what i think on the front maxspeed, rear stock suspension you have proposed. i think it won't work out right, your ride will not be good. think of it as if the front of the car is on stiffer springs while the rear is on not so stiff springs, so the front won't bounce as much and the back will, so it will act kinda like a see-saw where the front is the middle of the see-saw, since it's more stiff, and the back will bounce while the front will act as if it was the fulcrum, the middle part. i hope you got my analogy. lol. that's my take on it, i'm not sure if it's right, but i think someone told me that before, cause i thought the same as you.

that's the problem with having a system, it makes the back go lower. that's why i made my sub enclosure out of fiberglass. it's much harder to work with for beginners, but once you get the hang of it, it's cake. but my finished enclosure was still pretty heavy. so i'm thinking of changing my system all together, and going with something else.

i thought that lowering the car increases bouncing

bouncing is only evident, when the shocks/struts wear out, or they are not matched correctly with the stiffness of the springs on the particular car.
