2K2 Auto stock VS 2K Supercharged

My brother and his wife flew in this weekend and he showed up at my door with a 2K2 maxima SE auto. I'm like yeah lets race and see how the 2K2 auto fairs against my 2K SCed auto. First we took the cars up to 55 mph and once we were side by side we both hammered it. I started to pull immediately and when we shut it down around 110 mph (with our wives screaming you two are crazy) I had about 2 1/2 to 3 car lengths on him (clearly visible in my rearview mirror). Next we come up to a traffic light and race from a dead stop. Both of us got a good launch (My brother said he thought I had a slightly better one though) and we were fairly even (I was slightly ahead) until I hit 3500 rpm at which point I started to pull pretty hard. We shut it down around 90 mph and once again he was in my rearview mirror. He said that he finally just let off the gas around 90 mph because he said there was no way he was catching me. I really thought the 2K2 would match up slightly better. A 6-speed would definietly!! Anyway just thought yall would like to know for comparison purposes. Later

Damn, I thought you would be pulling alot more on your brother than just a couple car lengths. Especially when you talked about going from a dead stop, you shoulda slaughtered him.

As posted previously, I raced Leftcoast, from a stop, 2K2 Auto vs 6 spd, and he took me by about 2 cars...He has an UDP, and a full catback, only difference at that time.

Looks like we might need to renegotiate the price

I got Friday off, so if the credit card thing is set, we'll be doing business Friday. That is unless you've blown the turbine or melted any pulleys.

Funny you should mention that. I called Stillen today (just got their catalog/wishbook) and asked about some stuff. Their Y-pipe/header combo (actually only the downpart of the header) is in the final stage of developement and is due to be released next month. This comes from 'Dean' the head tech guy. As for a supercharger.......that will be some time. I'd imagine a year at least from the way they were talking.

I have been getting the "it should be out in a month" line from him for the last 3 or so months now. Last time I talked to him(12 days ago) he said the headers would have, headers and a Y-pipe.

Yeah, communication has been a little poor for this deal. I'm still not sure if it's for sure yet.

Is yours kit a Stillen SC or a custom kit?
