Window rolldown module install??

Window rolldown module install??
Has anybody been able to add rolldown module to our existing factory alarm on a 2K Max? Recently somebody posted that a device was available for a Jetta, but has anybody found one that works for the 2k-2k1 Max? I have called a few local alarm shops and they all say I need an entire new alarm system to add this feature. I know that an aftermarket alarm maybe be better overall, but I rather just get the rolldown feature alone and keep the original alarm. Has anybody actually found a way to do this modification in our model year?
It's getting hot inside my "super black"0 max with "charcoal" leather despite the window titing...
Thanks,
y

Good Idea... Didn't nissan have this feature on the fourth gens too? I believe if the sunroof and windows are open on 2002 and u hit the remote button and hold it, everything closes. I WANT THIS ON MY 2k too!
Keep me posted!

Re: SEARCH can set you free....
Thank you for the reply. I did do a search! Have you found the answer to my original question in a search? If you have, please share. When I searched everything points to having to first adding an aftermarket alarm. I could not find something that could be just added to the stock alarm. There was mention of a smart windows 4 module but that seems to also require an alarm install. Unless something turns up I will probably go all out and put in a new alarm with remote start and window rolldown. Just hoping to save some money...

i went into to a local shop as well and they said they just have a remote window control module that will put them up and down with the stock alarm system in place. they gave me a price of around 125, give or take 25 bucks.

I spoke to a technician at the company that makes the device. After a very long answer I think I might as well simply put in a new alarm. The window rolldown module can be installed without puttng in a new alarm. However you need some way of triggering the system. He suggested putting a switch inside the car that would trigger all 4 windows to go down at once. But if I was already inside my car I wouldn't need an extra switch. The problem is our factory remotes don't have an extra channel to signal the window module. The only possibility was to wire it so it would open the windows when you unlock the door with a key. This would require some wiring to be put through the door to get to the lock. I don't have the technical skill to do this myself.
I miss this feature enough (had on my 97 Max) that I might just have it installed as part of a new alarm. This was bad move on Nissan's part to take out this feature on the 00 and 01. I wonder if they will do this again in the first years of the sixth generation Maxima.

Thnaks, for the information. I spoke on the phone with a DEI rep (owner
s of Clifford, viper etc.) Installing the windows module would still require a receiver from a new alarm system. He said I wouldn't have to connect the new alarm but I still have to buy it. He estimated it would cost $300-400. So again, adding just the window rolldown on our cars is just as expensive as buying a whole new alarm. Oh well...

Re: If Ive Told you Once Ive Told you a Million Times
I heard you the first time doctor. Alien Technologies is only designed for VW's according to their website FAQ's (http://www.alientech.net/)
So it won't help us.
