Maxima vs. Honda Quaalude (long)

This **** happens to me everytime. After a hard day's work, I was looking forward to a relaxing drive home in traffic. So here comes a Quaalude tailgating a Vette, hauling a$$. My mind says no, but the ego says GO! So here I come with the chase. It all boiled down to me and the Quaalude ( the Vette changed lanes to allow us to 'have at it'). It was really a bad time to race in 635 W traffic, but the 'race' turned out to be a cat and mouse chase, me being the cat. Ran in third most of the time and hit the rev limiter a couple of times too. Imagine this big, black 4 door chasing down a Quaalude in traffic

I was impressed the way the Quaalude moved in between cars, probably a Type SH (it was debadged, BTW), but I stayed glued to his a$$. Eventually he lost me and he didn't even have the courtesy to wait for me so we can have at it again ,freak. After I made my exit, I saw him still moving in and out traffic like a chicken with it's head cut off. D@mn, egos suck.

I know our suspensions are inferior to the Quaalude's, but what about straight-line (highway) runs? No engine work to the Quaalude's I don't think.

635W eh? You must be in the dallas area too

Anyways I dont know what year maxima or what mods you have, but a Prelude would be a good match for a non 2k2 Maxima. They run high 14s, low 15s stock with a good driver.

Correction........you, me, and LC, along with a handful of others pulled out low 14s/high 15s out of a stock Prelude. The majority of our brethern ran high 15s to mid 16s. And some of those were very well modded!
