VIAS Problem Solved

I took my car into the dealer yesterday morning to have the VIAS system fixed. I wrote my service manager Lynn a nice letter detailing some of the information I had learned from Max_Gator and provided my dyno along with his, as a reference.

I got a call back today saying that they are gonna replace the Upper intake manifold!! The part is in California right now and is being shipped via Air Freight to Chicago. It should be here either Thursday or Monday!! I cant wait to drive my car and see how the car is supposed to perform!!

I would like to thank BriGuyMax and Max_Gator for all your help!!

That's great!!

I know how you feel. Wait until you get your car back and aren't afraid of v6 mustangs anymore - it is a great feeling!

John...They didnt even have to talk to your service manager. They just said that my research sounds logical, so they would go ahead and order it.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Sounds like you had a good customer service experience.

Obviously, my dealer's service department leaves something to be desired.

Of course, they must have someone at that dealership who actually knew something about the intake system!!

Congrats!!

How would you have any idea of Jason's driving skill, or lack thereof?

Butterflies weren't opening, so it was either the module on the side of the manifold which controls the butterflies opening or it was the shaft for the butterflies failing.
Easy test was to pull the vacuum line and suck on it and watch if it opens. Everything is on the driver's side.

Glad they finally got the problems fixed.

-Peace
