Food for thought on Wireless Service
To answer some of your questions.
In the wireless industry it isn't necessarily the best deal when someone sells a piece of equipment (Nokia 8260) at a lower price than the other and the same holds true for rate plans because of the agreements set forth to make money from the customers at every turn. Their are different technologies that are used by different carriers, so the phones will behave differenty than the same model on another system. AT&T still owns the trunks that were sunk into the atlantic and pacific oceans to carry viber-optic cabling to just about every destination. The same holds true for wireless. They went in, bidded an obtained 75% of all licenses so a lot of small carriers use frequencies and pay AT&T usage fees. Believe me, I here it every day, sprint has this deal, Bellsouth is giving this deal...I hate to tell you guys but you'll pay more for those free phones in usage fees than you would by coming to a major carrier for your product. It's more than the price...you have to itemize every benefit that we can give you versus the other dealer. Whatever you choose do keep this in mind... your phone is nothing but a small radio
that program to a specific megahert setting licensed by that carrier who takes your fees to pay the BIG GUYS!!
