Stolen Hid

I went to see spiderman in Flushing Queens at whitestone cinemas(they have security..maybe) and someone shut off the stock alarm system, got into the car(no forced entry, checked for prints), and took out the HID, my cds, and my shoes(wierd). Worst freaking day of my life. My insurance is covering it but does anyone know where I can get the HIDs cheap and how to lock them in so no one can just jack them. Also should I take the 1000 from insurance and get the hid replaced myself so my insurance premiums dont go up. Also the cop told me that anyone in NYC with a 2002 nissan max, acura- all 2002 should be wary that their car lights are getting stolen. The forensics guy said that especially the max and acura 3.2 headlights are getting stolen and that an idiot can take them with the right tools. (a 3 min job or something)

Your premiums won't make a difference between if they do the job or if you take the loot and do it yourself. ANd your premiums won't go up if it wasn't your fault. Take the $ and milk it for what it's worth. Tell them that your shoes were Michael Jordan's signed rookie season pair that were diamond studded....

Insurance fraud and emissions violations? Talk about having no scruples. Do you work for the mob or something?

You should check on ebay & keep an eye out for that guy that was selling the other pair of (insert_word_STOLEN_here) HIDs. He was also in the NYC area...

I would claim the insurance, get the $1300 or whatever Courtesy sells them for, then give My 4DSC an email, and keep the difference.

He says he can get a pair for $650:
