so I take the car back for the ticking fan blower and squealing flasher relay. car comes back and they call me over. Thats always a bad sign, if they call you over. If you go right to the paper work, then they have fixed something, otherwise they call you over to tell you the dreaded "problem couldnt be reproduced".

So, I'm like "What???", the service manager already heard these. The tech says, "*I* have to hear it for warranty replacement, not the manager" WHATEVER!!!! So I hop in an hit the flashers. And for the first time in 3 months, they dont squeal.. !!!dammit!!!

We try a few more times and finally after he is getting really tired of me, it starts squealing. I go "hear that!!" He says "no, not really".. I say "you are kidding me! thats loud!"

Then he says.. get this! "oh well, I have a head cold, I cant hear a thing" WHAT!!!!! I wasted an hour of my work day to bring my problems to the near deaf tech? And he signed off on everything as not duplicatible. Finally, I was ready to just pay for the damn relay myself. then he said, we will order you one. Like they were doing it just to make me happy. grrrr. gawd, what a struggle. and this is my *good* dealer.

 

One word... <b>IDIOT</b>.

I feel your pain Tim....for me it was the first time I brought the car in for the engine mount noise...albeit it was not as loud as it is now(man am I steaming over that....kick my own *** if I could )

I get it to start screeching..."hear that?" Tech with his hands in his pocket... "nope" Me: What? You can't hear that noise? Tech: "Nope sorry cant hear anything" You can't hear that noise? Tech: "That screech? Nope can't hear it" Arrrrggghh He really didnt say that last part but I know that is what he was thinking.

Another famous one is for the rattles......friggin car turns into a Lexus when you go for a test drive with any of them.....

 

That's why I make them see/hear/feel the problem before I leave my car with them. What's the point of giving the dealer your car for the day if all they are going to do is park it in the back lot and do nothing with it?

Usually the nissan dealers I goto actually has the service manager go out and examine the problem to prove it's really worth their time to keep the car for the day.

 

I hate DEALERS! they are all MOTHER F$#@! LIARS! I must ahve spent 5 weekends over there trying to show them that my car has a steering problem. The steering wheel is so off center that i cant believe it. They all say, its the road becasue its slanted! I then say, the steering wheel should be off center the other way for the road to affect it. its confusing, but all i know is that, they give people the run around trying to avoid fixing problems. BASTARDS!
