thats why you slow down when you see them so you're ready for that kind of thing. nothing gets to me more than when i see people going up and over the speed limit when there is a dog wondering on the side or even in the middle of the road.

on my way home from high school once there was a dog wandering around in the middle of an interestion (on 123 for anyone in northern VA) i got out to try to get the dog out of the road and as i was standing there in the middle of a busy intersection people were speeding by the dog at like 50 miles per hour and honking at him like he knows whats going on. no one even thought about slowing down. really annoys me.

ps. sorry about the car dude.

It's always tough to hear and see the Maxima in accidents. Sorry to hear the bad news! I hope no one got hurt in the car?! Hang in there!

I am sorry and this may seem cruel, but unless you can safely and easily maneuver out of the way, it is better to just hit the dog. Think about veering wildly out of control to miss a dog and slam into a kid on the sidewalk, or hurt a person in another car when you hit them, or even yourself as you smack a telephone pole. Anyways my 2 Cents.

I am sorry to hear about your Max. Hope everything is easily fixed like new.

does sound cruel

but this is the best advice... hit the animal before taking a chance at killing yourself or someone else.

also, do you know who owns the dog? They're responsible for it and you can sue them for damages caused by their dog. My sister had something similar happen and she got full repairs from the dog's owner.
