First race yesterday. I came up behind a lowered eclipse (not the newest gen body, but the one before what's out now) and he quickly moved to the right lane. As I crept by him in 5th going about 50mph, he pulled up to my door....I shifted to 3rd and tapped it a few times to let him know I was game. He dropped it and so did I....I just walked him, didn't even finish out 3rd and I heard him shifting. He didn't have a chance. I guess those AEM stickers, carbon hood (well, the hood was black anyhow) and loud exhaust weren't really helpin. I told my friend riding shotgun as I was pulling up behind the guy hat if he was smart, he wouldn't want none of this...well, guess he wasn't!
By the time I hit close to 90, he was a car length or two behind me.
Shut it down and stopped for a left turn...he did the typical rice boy fly by with his fart can exhuast.


My car: 2k2 6spd STOCK
His car: Maybe a turbo? Couldn't tell...his damn intake/exhaust was too loud to hear any psssst.

 

if he was turbo you should have had a good race and he might have beated you....anyways, be carefull

 

Yeah, no doubt. He started it though..I was more than happy just to pass on by without slammin his POS rice car. Hopefully he'll go back to racing civics.

 

if he was modded turbo he might have had a chance. If he was stock (except for that fart-can) then there was no race. A stock Eclipse *from*any*year* can not beat a 2k2 unless the Max driver messes up.

Yeah, I'd have to imagine that he had no turbo..cause it wasn't even close. I can't figure out why he would bother trying to race me when he didn't have one. I guess he never ran with a max before...too bad those stickers didn't give him more HP.

Oh, and as far as the poll vs. the post...I threw the poll in after I typed the post. No, they have nothing to do with eachother, just curious about people's washing habits!
I find myself washing my car too damn much.
