I like to drive with the moonroof open as often as possible. But here in Texas the shade has to stay closed most of the day or you get sunburned and it dries up the interior of your car. As for a sun shade I bought a custom fit one off of ebay for like $30. When I park I use the sunshade and tilt the moon roof and leave a small gap in the moonroof shade so that the air doesn't get too hot inside the car.

I luv my moonroof. Never going back to the steel roof
For a while I didn't have a wind deflector. High speed cruising with the roof open caused alot of wind buffeting. Enough that my moonroof isn't as solid is it once used to be. Some rattles here and there. Once I added the wind deflector, hi speed cruising with the roof open was an absolute breeze One odd thing now is that I don't use tilt at all anymore. With the wind deflector and tilt, it gets very noisy at low speeds. Before the wind deflector, the tilt was very useful. You can't win 'em all I guess

Mine is always opened all the way when its sunny and hot out along with both front windows rolled down. On the highway, I'm suprised by how little wind noise or turbulance gets in.

It's because I'm a closet post ***** who looks for bad grammar. It's also my view that repeated bad grammar and spelling may mean the person is so uneducated that his posts are worthless. (I said repeated just in case you find the occasional error I've made.) It is also an indication of how our schools have deteriorated in the past few decades by failing to teach the importance of proper English, but that discussion is for another off-topic day.

Hey, I'm sorry if my grammer is ...not up to your standards, but I sometimes get into a hurry and I goof up and hit k instead of y.
Does that make me illiterate?...No. Just lighten up it aggravates people.

*** Oh great. Another dirtbag who thinks he has some right to litter the streets and highways. It's bad enough that we can smell you through our air vents. Lovely.

By the way, I am a very careful smoker, never caused any burnholes in my other 2 cars
*** Mmkay.

I use mine whenever the weather says I can. (See sig.)

I've got one on. I think it ruins the lines of the car, but I can actually cruise at 70mph with the sunroof open, with no sound flutter or other undesireable effects that I've seen and had on other cars at 35mph.

So it seems to be functional. So I left it on.

Maybe the reason it doesn't bother me, is it pretty much matches the color of my car...
I picked up one at a Wal-Mart in florida, 'cause the florida sun is brutal. It's this big-*** silver thing that folds like an accoridian. (I figure if I'm ever stranded on a desert island with my max, I can use it to flag down an airplane. )

You don't realize how big our windshields are until you see one of these things.

It works. You can get in your car and not have skin cook and stick to the seats. It may look ugly, but it does keep the interior cooler, and saves your interior...
Very well said, it makes a big difference(way less) noise and turbulence especially at higher speeds.

Do you guys have the deflector, or is it just bs?! I have one, but I think I may take it off. Is there much of a noise difference or what?!
Mine is so quiet at 80MPH without the deflector, I don't think it is worth the $ and the looks.

I took my gay deflector off because of the dirt buildup under it. I took it off within a week and still had "ring around the collar" I suggest taking it off every so often to clean the paint off.
