How do you install nitrous?

I am getting ****ed off now. I have had my NOS kit for a long time and in the area, they want to charge me $500 to install the NOS. Are there any instructions anywhere I can read about and try to do this myself? I have been waiting for a long time for the "how to" section on maximadriver.com. Help me out please.

Very carefully. Are you serious or just foolish? Pay the $500 and don't risk blowing up yourself or your car. If you're serious about a serious modification to your car, get an expert to install it.

Hell no, don't pay $500. This is a 2.5 hour install for a pro. So, if you pay $500 your paying $200/hr. in labor-that is outrageous.

I paid $250, and that included filling my N2O tank, and labor on the remote bottle opener (an additional 1.5 hours).

You're in the SF Bay Area, right DOM? Turbo95Max can do it for you.

Just curious, is it legal to have one? I want one but i don't want to have anything illegal on my car. That's why I still have a OEM Y-pipe

Just a thought, but you could do most of the grunt work with the install, like mounting the bottle and running most of the wires through the car, but stop short of hooking anything up. Doing this may lessen the install time and lower the cost; however, installers may not want to take responsibility for anything if you've had your hand in it.
