Chances are if you have the TSB number then it will be less of a hassle, or at least speak in terms as if you know there is a known issue in the form of a TSB.

honestly..
I've had this done on the PF and the max. the TSB got me nowhere.. I just had to argue that it was ticking loudly enough to bug me. Even then they acted like it was a favor. On the PF, they didnt argue as much.. but left my door trim hanging down and closed the door on it. brilliant.
both are much quieter now.. those motors are non-servicable and cost like $120

Hmnnn...interesting. I too have noticed a
ticking sound (nicely loud, BTW) but only when the A/C is turned on for the first time when the car is hot...I was attributing this to hot vents/conduits being subject to the inevitable temperature shock.
After two/three minutes and the temp in the A/C system (conduits, etc) has stabilized the ticking/crackling noises go away completely.
Is this the problem addressed by this TSB? Thanks

the TSB
is to replace the motor and put a insulated cover on it. Its basically the motor bushing making the noise.. its very audible at low speed.
I bought my max because it was quiet inside.. I dont like having to talk over that fan, even tho at its worst, it was quieter than some honda's I've had.
The motor has a cloth pad in there to hold oil for the bushing. the revision of motor I had, all the oil had run out of the cloth and into the shroud. so the motor bushing started going 'shhhck shhhck shhhck shhhck shhhck'
again, its not servicable, so new motor. Its a 15 min job to replace
