Fuel Filter

I have heard that the fuel filter in the 5th gen maximas does not need maintanence or something like that. I question that so I was wondering when the best time to replace it would be? Have any of you replaced the fuel filter on your own? Was it hard to get to? I know it's attached to the fuel pump thus I had to ask. If any one can provide any info, please post. Thanks.

Says the filter is a maintenance-free item. However it also says that replacement is covered under FE (fuel/exhaust). Basically you release fuel pressure in the line, remove your back seat (provides access to inspection hole), remove fuel pump which contains the filter, take the pump apart and get the filter. Lot of work which is probably why they suggest using premium fluid.

Has anyone with a 5th gen replaced their filter yet? I want to know if I shouldn't worry about it. Also, on a side note, where is the 5th gen PCV valve and how can I replace it ???

Premium fuel is required because the Max has a high compression ratio.
