I really dont want to drill a hole in my maxima for a CAI (plus it might void my waranty), so I thought that a heat sheild would be a great way to keep some of the heat out of an intake. Unfortunately I have no experience with this and I would like some suggestions on what brands to use, ect.

Heat shield ?? The idea is to draw Fresh COLD (un-heated) air from outside the engine compartment ... $.02

 

Check out the Injen product, no cutting required. Also may want to look at using the Search feature of the forum, you'll probably have most of your questions answered about your intake options.
