2k2 ALARM - READ HID'S MIGHT DAMAGE

I just noticed on my 2k2 that when the alarm goes off, the HIDS flash on and off..

WTF is wrong with this car?? It says in the owners manual that you flash the HID'S and you shorten the life span..

So now here is the problem, i want to install the shock sensor mod so if my alarm does false, the HIDS will blink on and off for 30 some seconds..

anybody esle notice this??

Try using your panic and look at your headlights..

GAYNESS

heh

its only bad when you flash them, not nissan yeah.. I'm not putting a shock sensor on my factory system for that exact same reason. However, my plans to add an aftermarket alarm have been slightly derailed due to conflicting reports of the DEI wire chart being wrong.

Hey TIM

i was supposed to install my compustar but after hearing how difficult it was, i sold the damn alarm..

I may later on decide to pick up the new Compustar once more 2k2 drivers have installed alarms on their car..

But as a safety protection i was thinking aobut the shock sensor mod..

How strange Nissan would flash the HID's with the alarm..

At least a theif would get shafted whne he steals the car because the HIDS will be damagmed..

I know nothing about car electrical/alarm systems, but is it possible to switch which lights activate with the alarm? Hibeam instead of HID.
Anyone who does it please post how-to for us technologically challenged.

I wish it was taht simple, but i am coming from a mazda protege where everything was much easier...

The 2k2 has all this craziness that makes me so lost when i thought i was so bright in technical wizardry.. lol

I think you need to ask Mr. Smart Entrance Control UniT..or Mr. SECU for short..
